10 cents worth of chemical they charge $3 for. Use skim or no fat milk on a towel, works great. RScott

They're using a commercial preparation you can buy. Banana peels work too. Just rub the inside that has been next to the banana and whala you'll have shiny leaves. I can't remember where I picked up this tidbit but I tried it and it works.

RScott is correct on both counts. Milk will do the same thing and doesn't clog leaf pores, and it adds calcium to the plant.

It is called "leaf shine..it is oil based..(and not really that good for your plants...) We started using a water based formula..it wont clog the "pores"in the plant leaves...also, don't use on fuzzy leaved, or succulent plants....oh yeah...we DON'T charge $3 to put it on....Oh...milk ??? I think it would make them smell like sour milk eventually....
