A statement closer to the truth would be " you can't count on anyone all the time, except for yourself". If you can't count on yourself, then who can you count on? Try to live life as an independent, then only you can let you down. GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!

You are insanely mistaken. Family, your own blood, is the ONLY thing you can trust in this world. Friends come, they go. But family...family is with you forever, tied to you through unbreakable connections that run deep within. During younger years, your friends may seem to understand you better than your family, but know this: No matter what you do, you will always have family and be loved by your family. Friends are not so generous.

I can depend on my family more than what I would a friend! I guess it just depends on your family and your relationship with them!

It sounds to me that you should build a better bond with your family! They will always be there for you no matter what! It's an awesome thing!

Not sure. I've wondered about this before...

I think it's because of the impression you'll make if your a friend to someone who's depending on you...with family, the impression has already been made

Well... I don't know about *everyone* ... but I know that my family is probably the MOST dependable of people I have in my life. If I need their help in something - they'll stop everything else they're doing & help me as much as they can.

However, my friends will help me with the least amount of "questions" and won't hassle me or make me feel guilty about asking them for help.

That's got to be the "blue ribbon" baby of questions -- I've wondered that for a long time - I know during some rough times, it was friends that came through for me, my family helped some, but for the most part seemed totally unconcerned.

i think its because of that "sense of security " thing. you know, like you pretty much know that they'll always be there (maybe not ALWAYS) no matter what. and w/ friends, its a "different kind" of sense of security. so friends may seem to be more attentive in a way... u get it? nevertheless...dependability is based on how much YOU depend on that person(s)... i think. =)

You can't depend on anyone in this world. Only your parents. One of life's long mysteries...
