If the Brewers and Cubs are tied at the end of the year, they will play a one game playoff to determine the divison winner.
When you say "mathematically possible" are you referring to the possibility of using their regular season head to head records instead of a playoff to determine the division winner? If so, you don't have to worry about that.
The head to head record is only used to determine a division winner if the other team will then be the wild card. If the other team will be out of the playoffs entirely, then head to head records are not used and a one game playoff is played instead.
Since it's very unlikely that either of these teams will be eligible to win the wild card if they don't win the division, the head to head records will not be considered.

Brewers 17 Games left
3 vs Cincinnati
3 vs Houston
3 vs St. Louis
4 vs Atlanta
4 vs San Diego
Cubs 15 More Games
3 vs the St. Louis
6 vs Cincinnati
3 vs Pittsburgh
3 vs Florida
2 more Days off
Its not even Mathematically Possible plus the Cubs have one Contender Left the Cardinals, the Brewers have to deal with the Braves and Padres as well as the Cards.
The Cubs can Handle their Schedule as for the Brewers most likely won't, in the End the Cubs will win the Division like the Last weekend of the Season.

There would be a one-game playoff if the Brewers and Cubs finish the regular season tied. However, contrary to what was said above, the Cubs won the coin flip over the Brewers and would host the playoff game. If the tie was between the Brewers and Cardinals, the Brewers would host the game.

It is possible. If they finish with the same records there will be a play-in game before the playoffs. In 1998 the Cubs beat the Giants in a play-in game in baseball. The play-in game is considered part of the regular season.
However if they are tied, and both teams would still go the playoffs (one as the division leader and one as the wildcard), they skip the play-in game and use tie breakers to decide the winner of the division.

very mathmatically posible they all play same number of games, If a PPD game affects divison winner it has to be made up. If the brewers are a head by 3 games lets say, then one game won't effect winner. someone needs to check their math.

I don't think so. That isn't how baseball series work. If a set is tied all the way through - then it remains tied.
The only way where this could happen is if the Brewers and Cubs make it to the World Series - then they would have a tie breaker. But the chances of this happening are minimal, at best. Neither one of the teams is championship material - especially the Cubs.

I don't think so. In case of a tie it will probably be determined by head to head record against each other.
