And obviously, what was the song that inspired you to say it?

I recently heard "Sausolito Summernight" by Diesel, and remembered how much I loved that song during its run on the chart.

Satellite radio has been a real gift as far as this goes. They play songs that in several cases haven't seen the light of day in a while. The last time I said that sentence? I heard Suicidal Tendencies - Institutionalized like maybe five days ago.

Another one: Pete Shelley - Homosapien

About 3 weeks after any given single drops... the radio stations play the crap out of them, and in no time at all, you'll find me saying. "*sigh* I used to LOVE this song!" as i change the station. (Thanks 99.5! They play the same 40 songs alllll daaaaaay long, don't know how they do it!) To make matters worse, I am a DJ, and these high profile singles, AKA Top 40, is all anyone wants to freaking hear. If you come to one of my shows, and I tell you, "I'm sorry, my Justin Timberlake CD broke on the way over here"... never mind the fact that I work digitally and walk away, just walk away.

lol

While grocery shopping with the family last week, I actually squealed when I heard "My Sherona" coming from the store speakers.

I was doubly delighted when the entire family started singing along! Nothing like a little a little bonding time over The Knack to bring a family closer!

Probably the last time I heard the song "Black Diamond" by Kiss. It actually came on a station here in Florida not too long ago while I was flipping through the dial.........couldn't believe I heard it on the radio.

One of the best songs they ever wrote in my mind.....

"Smells Like Teen Spirit" by Nirvana. That song used to give me such a rush, and it's still a good song, but I just can't hear it anymore. Radio has played it to death. Even Kurt got sick of playing it before he died.

I heard Joe Jackson's "Steppin' Out" driving to an appointment yesterday afternoon. I hadn't heard that song in years!
