Today we had the pest control guy come to spray our house for termites due to an infestation in the neighbourhood of late. We were advised that the spray used would cause no toxic affects to humans or animals.

We now have this strong chemical smell throughout the house, similar to the smell of formaldehyde, which is concerning me as my eyes feel like they are burning and I have a shocking headache.

Does anybody know if there are side affects from the spray ?

I hope it helps.
However, no pests' killing chemicals are 100% non toxic, perhaps some are more and some less toxic, thus I'd suggest you trust your intuition and common sense, not the manufacturers' sponsored research.

We have a pest control service on contract that sprays the inside and outside of the house every 3 months. None of the products they use are toxic nor are they by law allowed to be. You may just be having a personal reaction to whatever your service used, but we have never had even a hint of an odor.

Ask the Pest Control guy what the active ingredient is.

Then go to Google and look it up under its chemical name
