How do I remove the searched items on my computer? When I go under aol or any category and search for any topic it remains on the search screen. Example is I search for "apple" when I search for a or anything else you can see that I have searched for apple in the past. I have done internet options delete history, delete files, clear cookies, but it still comes up. How do I solve this?

Try ccleaner, it's free and friendly.

In Internet Explorer 7:

Click on Tools--> Internet Options --> Delete --> Delete All--> Check Also delete files and Settings --> Click Yes.

This will delete your cache, cookies, and auto complete.

In IE6 you will need to

Click on Tools --> Internet Options, then click on the Content tab and look for the auto complete settings and then delete that.

The problem you have been having is that deleting cookies and Internet history doesn't clear your Auto Complete. This will do the trick.

What cherokee said is the correct way to do it, but you also might want to try Fix-it Utilities 7. It is 30 bucks at walmart, not only does it clean out cache, but it also cleans out unwanted files on your computer. Not bad for thirty bucks.

If you will go to "tools" ..."internet options" ...."content" under "autocomplete" click "settings" and uncheck "web addresses" I believe this will fix what you want. Barb
