yeah, i think its a good way to say goodbye to something that is left of them. I think alot of times, people dont tell their friends or loved ones how much they really mean to them. Its just one way to say a final goodbye and let that person know how much you cared about them. No one really knows what happens when we die. That person could be looking on at your lives and my see stuff like that, we never know.
My best friend died a little over a year ago and in his honor, there was an online journal that people could write to him and tell him whatever they wanted. It was in honor of him and his family. Many people, including myself, wrote to him about how we really felt about him and that we were going to miss him.
As for the myspace page, its almost like a grave site. People go to visit family and friend's graves and talk to them and tell them they love them and such, i dont see any difference between the grave site and a myspace page. Its all about rememberance.
Hope this helped. sorry to hear about your bf's friend.

I might leave a prayer or poem on the page for anyone to check out immediately after he died, but then I'd likely never visit the site again. No sense mourning the dead your whole life. It is kind of morbid. But so soon after, sure. I might leave something there.

I have, as a last good bye to my friend. The family of one of my friends who recently passed away actually started a page in his memory for friends to share in their grief.

No. I would just tell him directly. Takes longer to type unless I was really trying to be cool with my other friends not communicate with him... But who knows it could be the next esp communications medium.. Call it psyspace.com

Myspace is overrated. I would rather attend their funeral so I could pay my respects.
