Print a background of the state of Texas on your invitation.

That is a good question. I've grappled with this issue myself. These days most parents think an invitation to them, means their kids are welcome too. It didn't used to be like that, but.... anyway, maybe you could write "couples party" on the invitation? Otherwise, it's supposed to be acceptable to write "adults only" on the invitations, although I've never been comfortable doing so. I usually rely on word of mouth. I send out the invitations and then later call to check on people and say, slyly, "So, are you guys gonna be able to find a sitter for the party? I really hope you can. We're all looking forward to you being there."

"You are cordially invited to attend our Texas Christmas party." Direct, to the point and hopefully everyone will catch on. Or you can just tell ppl that you are from Texas when they come to your party.

Texas is the "Lone Star State" so, you can play with that...

"Like the three wisemen, be sure to find your way to our Lone Star home for a fabulous Christmas party!"

-ok, I know that's cheesy, but I'm trying!!!

How about 'Texas' or 'Texan'? Sometimes the obvious is the best.
