I worked at a Neurologist, and people couldn't say that either. It didn't help the fact that the 2 doctor were married, and his first name was her last. (Indian culture). So people would not only mis pronounce what type of doctor they wanted to see, but they would make the appointment for the wrong doctor all together.
So glad I dint work there anymore.

Not that hard. I never can remember though, is a cardiologist a dealer at a casino or one of those people who predicts your future from cards?

Not at all. I got all A's in my Medical Terminology class-which was partially graded on pronunciation, and my father is a retired RN.
