It's interesting that so-called straight people (skipnot, intruder, etc..) make claims based on sexuality, without ever questioning their own. By their claims, they are sexually attracted to men...but CHOOSE to be straight. What a load of crap!!!!!

AND...there is NO psychological evidence AT ALL to back up their other claims. There is no where in the world that states that it's a mental issue. That was an old wife's tale and myth that Christians used to condemn homosexuality. Anyone that still thinks this way, needs to go back to the Dark Ages, as they are obviously not ready to deal with the reality of the enlightened 21st century. Even the American Psychiatric Association and the American Medical Association agree that it is not a mental illness...rather an innate born characteristic.
AND...to call the LGBT the same as criminals is just wrong....they never seem to remember that it's STRAIGHT WHITE MEN that are pedophiles...not gay men. This is per the Department of Homeland Security, US Dept. of Prisons, and the Texas Dept of Prisons and Parole.
Shame on them for that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BUT....to answer your question...you have a point. Keep in mind that right wing conservatives aren't the smartest tools in the shed. The majority of them follow someone else's claims without actually researching it for themselves. That's why the majority of right wingers are Christians. They follow without questioning the hypocrisy of their leader. Sad, sad.

There isn't a shred of evidence in support of this ridiculous claim; the fact that supposed men and women of god spread this rumor makes it no more true. The claim is that adoption is merely a "recruitment" technique; even if a child raised by gay parents was more likely to be gay, raising a child from birth to adulthood as a recruitment technique would be so ridiculously inefficient that it'd be laughable, if so many people weren't so deliberately blind to the painfully obvious that they actually buy into and perpetuate this drivel.

I wonder, what kind of diseased soul does it take to twist something as beautiful and selfless as the raising of a child in need into an act of selfishness? Or is it only selfless and beautiful when an "ideal family"- i.e. a white heterosexual married couple- adopts? And do any of them actually care about the millions of kids they want to condemn to orphanages and group homes, as they spend their childhoods waiting on "ideal families" to be spirited down from the heavens?

Many people are still laboring under the rather ridiculous assumption that people are "taught" to be gay and then "choose" to live that lifestyle. Of course if it were true that we were all created straight from the very beginning (I'll leve out teh evolutionary process since most of these folks do not understand it) then there would be no one to have "learned" to be gay from. Their entire argument is a house of cards with no first floor to hold it up with. Thus, they must eventually all come back to the religious belief argument.

I don't understand the premise of your question. I would imagine that a small percentage of children raised in same-sex households would discover that they were gay, just as there's a relatively small percent of children raised in "normal" homes that eventually figure out they're gay. Honestly, my boyfriend and I are both more gay than straight, and if we have kids, I'd be shocked if at least on of them didn't turn out gay. : )

It's because they are afraid to admit that two same sex parents can raise a child as well as two opposite sex parents. There is no way to prove that gay parents are bad for a child, as there are no real stats available.. however, as we've seen time and again, children like paris hilton, lindsay lohan, nicole ritchie, who are raised by opposite sex parents, can be quite screwed up.

yeah exactly, it seems the right wing is not only mind controlled but they refuse to believe anything else but what they are told to believe. Like someone being gay is such a big deal, there are so many other things those right wingers need to be worried about.

Gay people are the least of this country's problems. And I've never known any who were bad parents. If people want to rag about something , make it illegal immigration , welfare fraud, and the sorry state of health care in this country. And, if we're going to send men and women in to combat, at least equip them with decent weaponry and battle ready vehicles.

It's kinda silly. If some hetrosexuals weren't failures as parents, we wouldn't need homosexual foster parents.

They believe what they want to believe. Simple as that, and because of that, they'll only change on their own watch.
