Yes, but I would wonder if it would make life better. Be careful what you wish for.

Yes I would like to go back to 1979 when I made a decision that I should have probably put off for a few years and until I was ready. That decision has caused the ball rolling to where I am today and if I changed my mind then I think things may have worked out better and I know they would have been different.

I would like to go back if I could with this mind and this body just to see the twin I lost at birth -and of course if I could have changed things and possibly had him live, I am sure I wouldnt be who I am today

but more in the concept of your question, I think I would if possible have gone to the famed Library of Alexandria and checked out massive amounts of books. Then I would have sailed them to the area where I live now and have secreted them in a local cave or buried them in some massive vault on th eland I am about to buy........
I oft wonder how our culture would have been different if different writings had survived

of course the monk Savronola and Alexander VI. who was pope from 1492 to 1503 also burned countless libraries of stuff that I would also like to have in my hands

but Savronola's time was gross while The Grandness of Alexandrias time I am sure I would be able to appreciate

I moved to the US about eight years ago and had made sure to visit my family, especially my grandmothers every time I went home. But after I got my first house, my parents came to visit more often than before and talked me out of going back home just for a visit. Every time I planned on going, they gave me arguments why it wasn't necessary. Then one night, I got the call - my grandmother had died back home.
I hadn't seen her in two years.
I'd give quite a lot to be able to go back and see her one last time.
The great currents of history should be well left alone, but for simple, important things like that, I'd love to have a time machine.

Would travel to 19th Century visit philisophers and ask what they thought that double standards were being applied at Salem by trying women for witch craft but not God as this is the same God who was said by those in support of the trials to support torture of women to get them to confess to witchcraft.

Yes T-bone, I would return to one of my previous lives, and not stand behind that team of mules, that bolted and crushed me between the big cottonwood tree and the back of the wagon, in 1872 !!!!!
I would also, immediately after mustering out of the Army Dec. '59, have moved from south Texas, my birth place, to the Mountains and Ranches of Northern Mexico and found the woman I married 3 years ago.

I would go back to the morning I left for work and for the first time in fourteen years neglected to tell my best friend and lover that I loved him. I was running late and I just blew out the door.

He died several hours later. I know he knows I love him, but I really have major regret over this one simple thing.

Don't forget to tell those you love how you feel.

to go back and change anything would be a horrible mistake.

also, you can not go back to a time any earlier than when the time machine was created. so even if you made one right now..you would have to wait for time to build up to use it.

trust me,....i know my stuff.

The assassination of President Lincoln. With his murder came the destruction of Reconstruction, with the ramifications reverberating for centuries.
