Price out the parts first...if you can afford the price of the auto and the parts. Be my guest.
Be sure to check for any leaks, squeaks, etc.

Absolutely if you have a specific need for an 4X4 & can afford the cost's of fueling it. All 4X4's regardless of how efficient, do carry with them some loss in fuel economy. You may have to make some future modifications to make it able to pass the ever increasing E.P.A. requirements of emission's testing. Consider the extra costs, where you are going to be using it & for what purpose. If you are in an area that you can use it primarily for an off road vehicle, or in a fairly uncrowded state. If it were me I would buy it immediately because of where I live, but it's your bucks & only you know whether the other factors you have to consider are worth it. Good Luck. Wish I had that option right now.

I do not think it would be your fuel pump, even on a bad pump a car will generally run ok...its the starting up that would be the problem. It could very well be a wiring problem. The fuel pump and the gauge mishap have nothing to do with one another, the fuel pump is not dependent on the gauge or vice vera

the only advice I can give you is that parts for a rodeo are more expensive than any other car I ever owned. And, that I would never own another one. Hope that helps.

IF THAT IS ALL THAT IS WRONG WITH IT THEN YES.
BUT I DOUBT IT AND YOU WILL FIND ADDITIONAL PROBLEMS WITH THIS VEHICLE.
THESE VEHICLES ARE A JOKE AND WILL ALWAYS BE A JOKE.
AS FOR DOING THE WORK YOURSELF IF YOU BUY IT, I DON'T SEE WHY YOU CANT, JUST BE VERY CAREFUL AND GET READY TO SPEND A LOT OF MONEY.
