Some people on here may have heard about my family before. My Great Grandmother's brother's son was Hitler. It is something that is never discused within the family. It is mearly known and everyone tries to pretend that we're not related to him.Surnames have been changed, there are no World War books in the house etc. but deep down we have to live with the fact that we have the blood of such a truly evil man running through our bodies.
How about you?

Can't beat yours, but there is a something a little sinister in my ancestry as I am a descendant of the infamous Sherrif of Nottingham of Robin Hood fame. However, its only Hollywood that's made him an unpleasant character.
I do have another but if you're not English you probably won't know this georgian libertine. " Fait ce que vouldras " The motto of a group he belonged to.

I think it is pretty cool being related to someone like hitler as he is so well known, also, don't forget at the time he was a hero in germany! I could never agree with what he did but would never hold it against you just because you were related to him. It is not your fault after all. :)

It wasn't his blood that made him do the things that he did, it was his mentality. You have nothing to be sorry for or ashamed of.
I have a cousin who plays for the Chicago Bears and another who plays for the Lakers. Won't mention them as they have my same surname, the spelling of which isn't that common in the US, but they're fairly famous.

I am related to the Wright brothers(slightly) They were like my great grandma's 3rd cousins or something like that. So I don't even know if that leaves any relation between us or not. :)

Not your or your family's fault. I have a distant cousin who was a local Glasgow entertainer way back. He was called Denny Willis and his dad Dave was also an entertainer.
