If you stop funding the welfare mouths from Mexico - you will anger the Mexican Government and make it harder to complete the joining of the three Nations.

No, there has been no legislation proposed. In fact, there is no real "Anchor Baby Law". The statute that is a federal one that states that anyone born in the continental United States is a citizen of the United States. Nothing prevents an illegal alien from taking their children back with them. Crafting legislation to ban citizenship on the bsis of parental citizenship is a difficult task that can impact both legal and illegal immigrants.

You mean, to repeal the 14th Amendment?

There is, in fact, something that's been introduced, but I don't know the details. I read it here, though, from an Answers member whom I trust.

It'd be a great Amendment all right. Simply require the parents to be US citizens or legal aliens for it to work, and then mothers can stop using their babies as leverage and tools.

you need to amend the constitution for that


this country is too polarized to have the constitution amended when you have things like Iraq to worry about...
