The Democrats are for the poor, right? No insults or rants, dems, answer the freaking question: What EXACTLY have you done for the poor besides hand-outs?

They should have a sign in every poor area saying 'Democrats at work-- NOT'

Waking up to reality takes some intelligence, education, wisdom, experience and a can do attitude. Where are you going to find poor Democrats with all (or any) of those traits?

Since when did the Republican Party have such an open heart?

They opposed Social Security calling it a form of socialism along with TVA. Have voted against the minimum wage since it was first introduced in 1930's.

Worked to oppose Civil rights legislation on 1960's. Opposed hate crime legislation.

So glad the GOP is out protect the rights of the minority like oil, insurance and heath care.

Ethnic minorities in majority whites areas such as the south trust the government more than their own communities because of discrimination in ways such as finding a job, getting fair treatment and pay for their work in school and when they do have a job, and basically being socially outcasted because they're "different"

That is why minorities will always vote democrat. That is, until they feel a sense that they're being treated fairly by their fellow countrymen.

All of the legislation concerning civil rights was passed by LBJ and Congress in the 60's. Most civil rights attorney's and organizations are populated by Democrats.

First of all, there are plenty of poor republicans...it's called the deep south. You complain that Dems have only given handouts, but that's more than Republicans have done for the poor.

The Democrats i know aren't personally concerned with what they can do to help but want the Government to take money from the people who have more than they do and yet the democrats drive as many SUVs as anyone else and are just full of hot wind.It is not what can i do.it is what can you do.

I agree. In my hometown, the quality of living is atrocious and Democrats have run the city for decades.

Once the Dems get the votes, they just toss the hand-outs and continue about their way. They don't seem to care.

It's part of the reason why I am a Conservative today.

Excuse me, but I think you have to prove to me that Republicans are for the common man because to date I have seen no evidence of it. And if you don't want rants, don't ask such insulting, slanted questions.... What goes around comes around, friend...
