We needed to stop in a long time ago.

The way our government keeps the books would land anybody else in jail.

Social security, for example,is financed with borrowed money.Wht?Because the Federal Government spent sixty years spending the straight revenues from taxes that were for Social Security on everything but Social security.

The government has squandered money for the last sixty years, and now we stand on the brink of the worst financial crisis in history. And everyone ignores it.

And of course,we've have under me the typical con idiot chattering about con economics, which basically says to keep spending, don't worry, and we'll buy our way out of trouble.Tell that to the at least one million homeowners about to go belly up in this country.

The debt will never be erased unless we completely overhaul all of our foreign policies. Mainly the ones concerning aid. We consistently (regardless of Dem or Reb) promise money sent to other countries, when the reality is we need that money here. Eliminate aid, reduce spending in Iraq (which won't happen for a while), and then we might be on the right track. Unfortunately, everyone wants to keep spending for what they feel is right, instead of taking their own advice of not borrowing on credit.

There is nothing wrong with national debt as long as the government has borrowed the money for investment in infrastructure that is long-term productive, e.g., public transport, health, education, communication, environment, etc. These will eventually return in tax revenues many times what was borrowed and will amortize the borrowings. The problem arises when the debt is incurred for building expensive military stuff and for military adventures. The former eventually obsoletes and contributes zero to long term tax revenue. The latter burns up cash and often results in huge long term costs when soldiers are killed or crippled.

We do because all we are doing is stealing from the future.
I don't understand this whole credit thing because it is such a sham. I don't want to scrap all of it but it has gotten completely ridiculous. Who knows what the consequences are going to be? I am afraid to see. It is becoming increasingly harder to live within one's means. I struggled for 3 years on my own. I didn't have much of a life. Good thing I'm creative and have many interests. I also worked a ton of hours. It is ridiculous. People like Paris Hilton make me sick to my stomach. We don't need more of her. We need less of her. There are a lot of people like her. I want to knock them all down. They don't do anything but hurt people. No one should have to make a life and death decision when it comes to medical care or whether to eat or go hungry. That should not be in a rich and productive society such as ours. Some people may do it to themselves but we have more people that are working and doing what society expects and they are suffering. I want to help those people. It affects me as well and my family.

They also have the world's highest corporate tax rate, with the United States a close second. Yet, that's the same path B. Hussein Obama wants to lead us done ... minus, of course, Japan's use of nuclear power.

Don't worry the cap is now at 10 Trillion and Bush will find somewhere to spend it.

The federal reserve is pumping so much money out that the dollar is plummeting. Something will need to change soon.

A country that is 9 trillion dollars in debt and dependent upon hostile foreign countries for food, energy and clothing is doomed.

That surplus from Clinton was only a budget surplus - there was still enormous debt.

You need to take a course in basic economics from a good, conservative econ professor. You are getting all cranked up about nothing.
I suggest you get acquainted with Walter E. Williams at George Mason University. Do a Yahoo! search under his name.
