not being a smart aleck here, but all bikes use oil of some time or varying kinds.
the engine requires oil for lubrication in the crankcase and / or the clutch (some have 2 different compartments with different types of oil needed)...
and
for a 2 stroke bike, it requires 2 stroke or 2 cycle oil mixed in the gas. some of these bikes have a separate tank / container where you would put the 2 cycle oil and merely add to that as needed. the more common 2 stroke bikes require mixing 2 cycle oil with the gas either in an approved gas can (plastic) or in the tank. this also depends on the bike as to what mixture of oil and gas is needed.
you did not specify what the model is of the bike you bought, so I can not tell you which of the above applies to your specific bike.
hope that helps ...

If you can determin if it is a 2 stroke or 4 stroke motor.
4 Strokes run only on gas, and hold oil entirely seperately
(we hope) for lubrication only.
2 Stroke motors run on a mixture of oil and gas,
not unlike typical small lawn mower engines.
If you know the model of the bike, you can look that up online.
Or if you have any friends or neighbors who ride motorcyles
they could probably tell you wich it is, at a glance.
Good luck.

All engines use oil, what you need to know is whether you mix your oil in with the gas! Without knowing a year, model, or engine type (two or four stroke), none of us can help you here. You'll need to take it in to a shop, or your local Yamaha dealer, and have them give you expert opinions on it.

Always give year, make, engine size and model # when asking questions. We need all of that info to give an informed answer.
Some do, some don't.
DO NOT ride the bike without knowing.

Yes it uses oil. Plug is on the side of the block, filter is underneath.
