I work heavily on a mac and I want to know the best way to save documents... What resolution do I save as, what should I save it as, how do I save, so people I send documents to, can open it? I would like to read more about it all and want to know are there any books available our there?

All depends what KIND of file they are ? Are they graphics (then PDF is the norm for sending to other people)
Are they Video (I think .MOV is the norm on Macs)
Are they Audio (Not sure on Macs)

Best way is simply to TALK TO OTHER people that do same kind of work and seek there advice. Never heard of a book "Saving Files for Dummies"
