I believed that months ago unfortunately there aren't enough votes in the Senate to make it happen. Republicans don't approve and even if they do and Dubya vetos the bill there aren't enough votes in Congress to override the veto. So it doesn't matter what the people want the Republicans led by Bush are going to have the war. People are taking notes and you can bet that those who support the war, when up for reelection, are going to lose or have a tough time winning. That may even be true in predominantly GOP districts and states.

what negative things have the troops done to you,that you would wish to put them in greater danger than they already are? no funds and their danger increases exponentially.

Bush has severely damaged this country (and other's as well). He needs to be held responsible for all the lives lost fighting a war that's not ours.
