If I tried it on everything plugged in for 1 hour at 140% voltage, what kinds of things would I see?

I want specifics. A fan would be different than the toaster or a lightbulb.

I've used these things. Doesn't that 140 on the scale mean 140 volts (assuming you plug it into 115)? Anyway, don't do it on anything expensive. A fan will be OK for a short time since they self-cool efficiently. An incandescent will be brighter and have a shorter life. How much? days to weeks I'd WAG. A computer might actually be perfectly happy since it has its own power supply and regulates its internal DC voltages. However, it might trigger a surge protection circuit and turn itself off. You'd be crazy to try it on a computer worth anything.

You probably wouldn't see much, since all your lightbulbs would burn out pretty quick.

A whole lot of blown up appliances.

Don't call me see when you try, but record and post it in Youtube.
