I think chances are good actually. America is waking up to their political parties who are not following their basic principles.

Most Americans want the best from both sides. Who doesn't want low taxes? I have yet to meet a liberal who wants to be taxed more.

Really very little chance simply because the moderate issues no one gets excited over. No one will throw support to a middle of the road party becuase people are passionate about certain key issues, gay marriage, abortion, war, spending, taxes, ect. The lines are clearly drawn on the conservative and liberal side and people will supportthe party who presents close to their viewpoint. A moderate party will not draw any of those people to them.

Besides, don't you think the partes WANT us divided over such issues? That is what allows them to gain power in their times because they can draw the public to one extreme or the other. The extreme is what gets people motivated to support a certain party.
