...and that the war is a good thing, and that Bush and Co are in the right and should be supported...
Does it not strike you as suspicious that Bush and Cheney among others are directors of arms and construction companies that directly benefit massively, financially, from the invasion and occupation? Does this fact (which as far as I'm aware no-one disputes) not make you doubt your government's real motives?

If you put in power the most stupid man in the world and the most evil man in the world, this is what you get.

Do you really think we, the American people, actually know EVERYTHING about why we went into Iraq & overthrew Sadam?
Just like in Vietnam, there are things that are "classified," and the public may never have the true and entire story of things that led to the war or caused it to go as it has.
Politicians who know such things, but can't disclose due to classified status, can "play dumb" to those very facts for political gain.
People grab onto half-facts and try to make them an entire agrument.
Do you think that's right? Don't you think we should know the whole story before being so judgemental?

As for your attempted argument that Bush & Cheney went into this for financial gain, do you have an aswer to why so many leading Democrats voted FOR the war back when it started? What were their financial motivations?

Benefit massively financially?! You must be kidding. Halliburton doesn't make much at all on the war, the fact is they are one of the ONLY companies that can handle the job in Iraq and were originally signed by the Clinton administration. Most of us don't believe we invaded Iraq for the benefit of the Iraquis, but for the benefit of us as Americans and the rest of the world. But, now that the country is in dissaray it is our responsibility to stabalize the country before we leave or all those lives would be lost in vain. So, you "facts" are definitely disputed. Stop drinking the liberal kool aid and try thinking for yourself. I doubt it will help but you never know.

I am not going to pretend to know why we went to war the only ones who TRULY know that answer is Bush and the evil one who got hung. But your and my right to comment about this feels good huh ? There are reasons WE appoint people in those positions, to make the decisions, and the fact that they may or may not have lied....um... every politician lies to benefit themselves and their power, they never take responsability for their own actions they just blame the lower end people. Just like Clinton and her fugitive given money, does she take blame for that oh no, but she is still gonna try to keep the money. Look this is how our country is, wether good or bad it is what it is. So unless you are in the position to take action or change it and you were personally there in some of the things your are talking about, how do you know for sure ? No one does, but you have the right to feel and think what you want.
