Republicans are incapable of accepting responsibility for their own decisions.

They are responsible for bush, bush is a disaster, so they spend their time 24/7 blaming liberals.

It's all a bunch of political rehtoric that is geared towards keeping the country divided. A lot of it is media driven, but there are just some people who thrive on chaos and confrontation. It keeps them from having to take responsibility for never accomplishing anything. If I was a terrorist, one of my tactics would be to try to create a political divide within the US.

Basically, the answer to your question is that anyone on either side of the aisle, conservative or liberal, who tries to paint the other side of the aisle as being some type of boogey man is doing so because they have become brainwashed by all of the political rhetoric flying around these days.

Today is the age of political evangalism, and it has done nothing but harm the country. I truly believe that this polarization is a bigger threat than any terrorist group. The resentment keeps us from working together.

I am talking to you,
Rosie Oddonell
Sean Penn
Lars Larson
Bill O'rielly
Michael Savage

The list goes on and on. These are the true vultures in society because they use real tragedy to bolster their careers and keep the spotlight on themselves. They are like pre-schoolers fighting over a free swing. Their careers are built on making weak minded people believe that some other US Citizen is a threat to their way of life. They are bottom feeders, who stand on the corpses of the people who died on 9/11 and try to get others to drink the proverbial kool aide of bi-partisan politics. The truth is they are all opportunistic sociopaths, and I for one am starting to get annoyed.

Seems to run in cycles. Right now we're in a Liberal (Lieberal, socialist, communist, Democrat) phase.

There have been times where it is a conservative (neocon, fascist, religious nut, Republican) phase.

In any event the questions seem to be aimed at creating a reaction rather than promoting debate. Everyone always knows everything. Frustrating really. I have to admit that some of the comments in questions have been so nasty that I have been prompted to respond. I think it's about 1/2 and 1/2 as to whether I am driven to respond by some filth spewed by the questioner or whether there is an interesting point being raised by someone.

It's kind of like an intellectual tag sale. You have to go through a lot of people's trash from the attic to find the gem.

Yeah, I have to agree with you... I am more conservative than liberal (but not nearly as conservative as a lot of people on here) and I gotta say that this borders on paranoia and obsession.

The word liberal (and Neo-con by the way, but NOT nearly as much as "liberal") is used way too much on here and a lot of times has nothing to do with ideaology or issue (not all issues involve political issues as much as social issues --and there is a difference; for example I know a "liberal" who supports capital punishment and there are many cons who do not for religious reasons.... and the same can be said for abortion, I know many conservatives that do not want the laws pertaining to abortions to be overturned and the people you are talking about absolutely won't accept that) ....

Its very strange and makes a lot of the people who overuse the term look ignorant and kind of strange.

Because the Right has invested serious time (airtime, especially) vilifying people who don't agree with them. A lot of people who might otherwise have been moderates now (or at least voted in their own economic self-interest) really *believe* that those *dirty liberals* are out to get them, and ruin the country (shaking fist).

The concept of loyal opposition, people who disagree with the ruling part but respect the institutions it stands for, is foreign to them.

It's too bad, because aisle-crossing and loyal opposition are part of the plan. And absolute power corrupts.

Because their asinine and idiotic decisions, statements and positions open themselves up for people to make fun of them. This is the first time (and hopefully the last time) in my lifetime that I've seen a political party so invested in our failure in the war.

On another note, come on dude, you also need to look at their side of the street. According to some liberals, due to the fact I'm currently in Iraq, I kill babies, murder innocent people and do it all in the name of King Bush. Y'all have no clue what's going on here and you seriously need to look at all the little political ramifications in this region. Believe it or not, it's a damn good thing we're here. OK, I'm getting off subject...truth-be-told, I get on here one hour every couple of days to get a good laugh at the certifiable morons (both left & right) that post on this site...lol...

In the words of one liberal poster on this site: stop driving SUV's, plant a tree, buy carbon credits & hug a muslim then everything will be ok and we will come home from Iraq...lol...I want to meet that guy! F'ing hilarous! THANKS FOR THE ENTERTAINMENT!

Hm, you must have missed ALL the other questions about Conservatives this, and blah blah blah Republicans.

You're not gonna get an answer from Democrats nor Conservatives that will not be opinions against the opposite party. That's the whole point of politics. One party believe with every fiber of their being one way, and the other party believe with every fiber of their being another way. That's never going to change. It's the same thing with the war against terror....the only way it will end will be to eradicate all the terrorists. Sad, but true.

Yes and they use the term as derogatory, which it isn't! They also interchange Liberal and Democrat. They can't fathom that most Democrats are not liberal!

The conservatives are desperate at this point. They have had one set-back after another and they are trying to shift the blame to liberals. Pathetic, huh?
