I’ll officially cast my vote for Picasso Trigger – Fire In The Hole. Besides the music being horrible, take a look at this. Could it be fish guts, shredded afterbirth or chitlins in a tomato base? I mean WTF were they thinking? If nothing else, it’s a wonderful gift suggestion for that special someone.

Sookie - All I can say is that's freaking hilarious. I am also very thankful for what I couldn't see. Track #4 on that album? Muffle That Fart. Very disturbing indeed.

Fonzie - You are probably right, but I hope that isn't true. I had never seen that Beatles cover before. Wow. And they look so happy on it.

Prof - It wouldn't happen to be the same picture that Given2Fly has the link to, would it? That one is priceless.

Spooky - That's a very strong contender. I can't even look at that!

This Millie Jackson cover, which I found once in my internet travels and luckily found just now on Amazon.

I don't think I need to say anything about it. It speaks for itself.

The only album cover that has really disturbed me is Scorpion's album cover for Virgin Killer. I will not post a link since to me it's really graphic and kids are roaming around here. But basically it's a pic of a naked girl child in a somewhat sexual pose and supper imposed on a certain spot is a cracked glass fx. I can accept it for what it is but wow, I mean just wow.

I followed the links to everyone's post and some range from deeply troubling to deeply hilarious, especially Sookie's with the lady on the john. I gave everybody a thumbs up--ya'll know how to pick them!!!

For me, the most disturbing art for an album I ever did see was Metallica's "Metal Up Your A**"--dang---that's got to hurt!!!! Speaking of which, it is time for me to schedule my colonic and rectal exam with my doctor!!! Just joking!!!

Wanna hear a sad truth, man? Far fewer of today's youth pay much attention to album covers. They're all downloading 1 song at a time. "Album cover?! What's That?!"

The whole concept of album covers is dying....

ANYway, The Beatles' infamous "butcher cover" is pretty disturbing for the Fab 4. Easy to see why it was pulled & rejected.

I'm sure there're many more, but I just got up. :)

sure, I effective do. I remember beginning Elton John's "so long, Yellow Brick street" (It grew to become right into a double album, and the conceal opened like a e book), and purely seeing how the artists who did the interior artwork created a flowing tale out of music lyrics that truly had no longer something to do with one yet another. truly, you observed that this grew to become right into a slice (or quite a few) of existence, with distinctive layers; or according to probability a spiritual experience. the conceal artwork for Alan Parsons undertaking's "thoughts of puzzle and mind's eye" grew to become into magnificent as nicely. once you have the artwork artwork alongside the music, it makes the completed journey greater visceral, greater actual; something you so superbly expressed right here, 8 music. technologies is super, regardless of the undeniable fact that it comes with a value tag... one such tag being the slow diminishing of the cost of inventive human beings and issues. regrettably, we've become what I term "roboticized". EDIT: *Nods energetically in contract with FuriousB.*

On a commercial release... I would go with Tool's Aenima... not so much the outside, but the inside that has a picture of a man attempting oral on himself in front of the band. The creepy thing was that the jewel case was made to make the picuture "animate".

Great call Fonzie. My mom used to have it, I think it was for Yesterday and Today, but you had to burn off the displayed cover and it was underneath or something like that. It was pretty twisted.

I'll go with... Smell the Glove.

That one is AWESOME Sookie. That's hilarious.

I wish I still had the forward that a buddy of mine sent me of I think 10 or so really funny album covers and there was one called (insert the girl's name)'s Seventeenth Birthday and it was this really DIRTY looking old man with a dirty grin sitting in a bar next to a teenage girl who did not look happy to be there. It was pretty funny.

Oh man, that's it. Julie's Seventeenth Birthday! Great cover. I'm glad (sorry I can't remember the name) brought it forward. It totally cracks me up.
