My honest opinion about pet Insurance is that because of the world we live in today, when you own valuable animals and they are you life one really needs insurance, but to get insurance on a normal pet like most of us have, you know a dog or cat we saved and love very much no insurance is not necessary.

An idea whose time has not yet come. From the standpoint of economics, I don't think it will be the next sunrise industry that will get the public agog over its stock. However, the premise for such an idea is admirable. Indeed, pet owners and pet lovers should be one and the same, if you get my drift. (pet owners are not necessarily pet lovers, but pet lovers are all pet owners.) From where I sit, where people couldn't even get insurance cover for themselves, pet insurance is far from being even a pipe dream.

We had an expensive year last year with our cats. There was an opossum loose in our area and they both ended up with abscesses, and I ended up spending about $1000 on vet bills and meds. After that, we kept them indoors as much as possible for the winter. It would have been great to have insurance for them at that time, but as a rule, I think if you look after your animals properly and keep up on their shots, usually pet insurance would not be necessary.

My pets have had surgery a couple of times, but I've always been able to foot the bill straight out of my wallet, and I'm not that rich. No insurance needed.

I have pets, but I don't have pet insurance,my friend has it for her chihuahua and she says it's worth it when your pet has an illness, like her dog suffers seizures and has a liver problem, and the medication is very expensive,so I thik it's a good idea.

Insurance is a highly profitable business and most often unnecessary. The idea is to get something for nothing that's why there seems to be an isurance for everything these days. Identity theft insurance, pet insurance, I got an idea! Ipod insurance. They want your MONNNNEY!

It's good if you can find a vet that will accept it. And your pet is pretty young but for a older pet it is not worth it because of high premiums.

Don't need it. The vets in Thailand haven't got greedy like the Western vets. Least ways not the ones in the rural areas. Tourist and foreign populated areas may be different.
