I thought Islamic militants hated us SOLELY because of our foreign policy, libs.

So how do you explain these same terrorists wanting idiotic celebrities and all other westerners converting to Islam?

Who's more screwed up? Terrorists who want us to convert to Islam or die or liberals who think we can actually NEGOTIATE with these crazy people?

There you go....slamming them with logic again. Don't you realize that logic is illogical to libs. They don't come equipped with it. By the way, did you notice the vitrol from the really intelligent ones who responded? They can't even spell their profanity correctly.

First off, the 'liberal strawman' is a propaganda construct capable of any words or actions the strawman constructor wants his self invented golom to do or say. Let's just discount that totally. Does 'islam' want to convert the world? Sure they do, and people in hell want ice water. Do the 'christians' want to convert the world? Sure they do, and once again people in hell want ice water. SOROS induced coma? Wow....I suppose you can believe that if you want, but then you'll have to discount the incompetence of the Bush administration, the sad progress of the Iraqi occupation, the mounting debt, the decline of the middle class, the enrichment of trans-national corporations as a national policy, the decline of America's social and physical infastructure and the fact that a majority of the people in the US, many of them formerly Bush supporters now know that the Bush administration and Bush himself is full of beans. All that would be true even if your SOROS boogie man didn't exist. Nobody has suggested not dealing with the various terror mafias....the question is how to get out of Iraq....all the rest of it is nonsense.

Should we talk to the radical islamic groups? Sure but I do agree direct talks with them would not be very productive. We would almost certainly have to get Saudi Arabia, Iran, and other Islamic countries into the talks. Diplomatic pressure from the US alone is not going to do anything just like military pressure from the US alone has done little. This administration has learned little from military history. You can not fight a guerrilla war, a civil war by conventional means.

Good question but I think they are all stupid, who would listen to a celebrity anyway ? all the negotiating is out the window with these loosers I would let the bombs do the talking for me that's how I would negotiate.

I don't know who Soros is, I think we need to try to do better in Iraq, and, one cannot negotiate with killers and terrorists. Long time "liberal" in the traditional sense of the word.

They hate us because Daddy Bush put US troops on Arabian soil (the reason for the 9/11 attacks).

The "idiotic celebrity," Fred Thompson, is your guy, sorry.

How long will you repubs remain under the sway of Hollywood? Is it mere celebrity worship?

These terrorists are not countries or spokesmen for any country in particualr.

We should be negotiating with the countries that we know harbors them and call for them to capture these Al Qaeda members.

If they won't get them we will send our special forces to capture them. This doesn't have to be a full scale 'war' scenario!

We have the technology to accomplish this! We can pinpoint the location of anyone on the planet!

Well, its Bush who has allowed al-Qaida safe haven in Pakistan. It was your former majoirity leader Bill Frist who wanted to negotiate with the Taliban and give them back Afghanistan.

In other words, the only people who have suggested catering to the terrorists are the neocons.

you're the most screwed up - the ones that mix a whole group of people into one stew and decide they're ALL crazy, or they ALL want us to convert to Islam, or they ALL ..............
I understand you're very simple, but you can't simplify everything that way!
