My husband's brother and his horrible wife don't like us. She is a ***** who tries to be highschool to me and spread rumors and blackmail. And he is pussy whooped by her! My nephew and his wife don't like us and are freinds with the other two. The couple that are family freinds don't like us and they hang out with the other four. It's like they never invite us anywhere, talk about us behind our back, and lie to us. My husband's own brother and nephew and obviously ex best friend all decide to hang out with each other and leave us out. We are tired of it and it makes us mad and hurts our feelings. ONly thing we can think of is that we dont do drugs or party all the time like they do. We are just parents of two kids. We work, dont talk about people and our great parents. So what are we doing wrong?

oh and a couple weeks ago they happened to be at my father in laws hanging out in the back yard at the pool and we bought a mini Heniken keg and they drank it all and just assumed it was ok. My husband was cool with sharing but as soon as it was gone they wanted to go to one of their houses and drink more and knew my husband couldnt go because he had the kids. (a newborn) When there, we had a babysitter at that house. I told them if they gave me some money I'd go get some more but they acted like they wasnt buying anything and didn't trust me with their money. Also, they told my husband they take him on the boat and my husband would pay for gas and then before they left, they told him oh nevermind my parents are using it and then the next day my brother in law said all four of them went on it. It really hurt my husband that they played him like that.

You and your husband need to stand by your values and realize that many times people don't want to be around people who remind them that their actions are WRONG. Heavy drinking and partying is NOT for responsible, mature adults, and they know it and you know it, but instead of growing up and acting mature, they'd rather punish you guys....it's silly and like you said, highschool. The best thing you and hubby can do is realize that YOU'VE OUTGROWN your family, and instead of allowing yourself to be hurt by their behavior, thank your lucky stars that you aren't being included in their immature behavior.
Let go of the fantasy of a perfect family hanging out all the time, doing things together all hunky dory. Face the reality and go find friends who share your values.
OR, stay hurt and mad and continue to whine about how they treat you. It's not like you can change them, so move on.

It sounds to me like they are jealous. I would just ignore them, the best revenge is to be happy! Some people just are miserable people, and want to make others miserable too. Next time something happens like with the beer, charge them for it! If they are going to make you pay for gas to go on a boat, they they can pay to drink your beer. Just wondering though, if they treat you so horribly, why waste your time trying to hang out with them! You're probably wonderful enough that there are lots of other couple that you have things in common with that would LOVE to hang out with you two!

I have some people like that in my family too. Maybe it's a problem that your husband had with them when they were all kids and has nothing to do with you...Come right out and ask them?
