Why do partners exaggerate everything????

To get attention. If you don't exaggerate it's boring.

For example, what sounds worse:
1.She goes out to the bar twice a week
2.She goes out to the bar several times a week
3.She goes out the the bar several times a week and drinks with strangers

They all say the same thing...just in diffrent ways(As she only goes out twice a week and always drinks with strangers).
