Alot of speculations are flying around about how the pat's have been cheating and people are wondering how far it goes back. My thoughts if they got caught cheating then they have been doing it for a long time and this is the first time they got caught. Of course their players wont say cause then they would possibly have to forfeit their rings. A lot of players and coaches are now wondering about how the Pat's knew what defensive plays they were gonna do on them and they did something? What do you think should be done? should there be an investigation done going back at least 4 years?? What if they find something

I think that perhaps they did cheat against the eagles in the superbowl, and even during the playoffs. Whoes to say they didnt do it during the other teams offense? Once a cheater always a cheater!

Alot of people think its impossible to use cameras at a superbowl, but i can tell you from experience just by knowing a security guard on the sidelines at a superbowl. It was their jobs to watch the stands and the people in them not to watch the game. each team has their own staff with them to include local law enforcement, and it is impossible to watch if there is camera equipment on the sidelines of either teams. could they have used what they gather before a half; heck yeah! The only reason they even got caught is because someone told on them?? mangeni perhaps?? Something fishy here??

I'm a huge Philly fan, and I think there is a good chance that the Pats did "cheat" to win the super bowl (and many other games). That being said, I do not think they should have to forfeit their rings. For starters, who would want them? Even going against a cheater, a true competitor (and their fans) would only want a ring if it was won outright. Sure, the Eagles game specifically supports the allegations (the yards gained in the first quarter vs. the total yards and the audibles to screens seemingly every time they blitzed), but even so, unless there is proof, there is nothing that should or will be done. This tarnishes their dynasty, and it certainly tarnishes the league, but it is foolish to think that other teams aren't doing similar if not identical acts. The NFL is such a competitive a league that even a slight advantage will be the difference between a 7-9 and 10-6 record. Coaches will do anything to get that slight advantage. Finally, I cannot remember if they did this during the super bowl, but if you watch Eagles games now, you will notice people holding towels around the coaches when they send in signals to block the opponents from stealing the signals. This shows that the Eagles coaching staff is aware that teams were attempting to steal signals, and they now try to prevent it. In any case, there is no use crying over spilled milk, and I keep looking forward until we get another opportunity.

You know, this is something that will remain in question for a long time. The Patriots, no matter what they say now, can not be trusted with anything. This is an embarrassment to football, and every team that plays them this year will have this thought in the back of there minds.

It would be fair to say they probably did cheat in the Super Bowl. It may have been another game that they taped, but it effected the outcome of the game non the less. Bill Belichick has set a bad name for his team, and the NFL right now.

I still think they should have been banned from post season play for this. They have still taped teams, and those teams should be given a fair chance to change there signals.

first of all anybody who believes the pats only cheated once is a complete dumba$$ and not in touch with reality billicheat said he misinterpreted the rules do you think he did that only this season for one game? your wrong if they have been cheating witch they have they have been doing it for a while but i think with the help of the nfl the patsies have won 3 superbowls the tuck rule game started it all, watch any old patsie game especially playoff games they are holding recievers 10 or 15 yards down the field i guess with the ruling and apology we know the pats are cheaters and the league isint really going to do anything about it i mean the fines and a draft pick...they might as well done nothing what a joke i did not really expect them to because its the patsies and the league helps them out quite abit i just thought with a new commishiner in charge the playing field would now be level but i guess its the same old story in the nfl cheaters do prosper

The sad thing is that we'll never know. More than likely this has been going on for quite some time. The Pats have been accused of this several times and this being the first time the league wanted to do their own investigation, and then wha-la, it was indeed true. No doubt that they have been doing this in year's past. And you know it could have been more than just defensive signals, too. I'm sure as low down as Belichick is, I'm sure he has looked into trying to tap into the opposing team's headsets between the Offensive Coordinator and QB. Wouldn't that be something.... ? :-)

Of course they did. Why do you think they got caught? because a former coach of the pats is now the coach of the jets and knew what was going on. I don't think it matters though, it had nothing to do with McNabb throwing up and poor clock management towards the end of the game.

Besides if you watch NASCAR you know that with a scanner you can listen to all the crew chiefs talk to the drivers. So I'm sure you can do it in the NFL with the calls going into the QB.

If there is evidence that the Pats cheated, the game could desire to be stated as such. i don't think of that the Eagles could desire to obtain a win for it regardless of the undeniable fact that. the game could only could desire to exist as an unclaimed victory. it may bypass down in history via fact the Superbowl that by no skill surpassed off. LOL The Eagles have been given the hoop they deserved for that 12 months, the NFC Championship Ring. perhaps the Pats could desire to be stripped of their international Championship jewelry and only shop their AFC ones. you're appropriate. It became 2 years in the past and except solid evidence is printed, forfeiture looks unlikely and unwarranted.

No for several reasons. One if you read the article, it states that the Eagles blitzed almost every play(something the eagles are known for) if you blitz almost every play the opposing team doesn't really need to know your signals, and they were responding with screens. If a team knew exactly were blitzers would be coming from they would alter their blocking schemes and look for deep passes more than screens. Screens are easier solution, and a common solution. Eagles are just crying.

The second reason is that security is so tight at the superbowl and in playoff games that it would be almost impossible to do anything to the effect of using a camera on another team.

I don't think that they cheated in the Super Bowl. I do know this is not the first time another team has complained about the Patriots video taping their coaches. I don't understand why they would need to steal signals when the team they have is an awesome team and doesn't need to cheat in order to win games. I am very excited to see how Randy Moss does this year with them.

1) It doesn't matter what anyone thinks. It will never be proven.

2) You're a moron if you think they cheated in THAT MANY PLAYOFF GAMES before finally getting caught in a lowly regular season game.

3) Besides we all know their first Super Bowl victory over the Rams was rigged because the Yankees blew the national feel good story of the millennium by not winning the World Series a month after the 9-11 attacks, so low and behold a New England team named THE PATRIOTS emerges to beat a small market Midwest team that nobody really cares about to begin with.

I am not a Pats fan, but I don't think they cheated in the Super Bowls.
The Jets are a divisional opponent. They play them twice a year. I think it makes sense that they were taping the Jets to use the info in the mext meeting later this year.
In a Super Bowl, you are playing a non-conference opponent that you hadn't played earlier in the season, and even if you had, you wouldn't know that they would be your opponent in the Super Bowl. There would be too great a risk to cheat in that situation.
