Do they have to be one or the other? I know many great women that are not submisive nor are they amazons.

Girls are born with a submissive streak and unless taught to be more outgoing we remain submissive so look around for groups that were taught to be "Amazons".

Maybe the ones you know are submissive, but I know of NONE.

It is an act. My wife is Asian. Asian women have a reputation of being submissive. They are anything BUT submissive. Have you ever wondered why Asian kids do so well in school? I know. Sargent mom make them! Growing up with an Asian mother is like growing up in marine corps boot camp.

LOL. Dear Brian, we had time to grow, and we used it well. Sophisticated amazon is still very much an Amazon. So, when you finally get to meet one of us, do thread carefully... We are still as deadly as ever... Smile.

What kind of inconsiderate ****** paints her nails on a train, or any other public place, for that matter? That s**t stinks.
It's not "outspoken women" that get "ganged up on by men and fired." It's obnoxious jerks that get the boot, and rightly so. As you may have noticed.

It is - on the whole - easier to say "Yes dear", for a woman to get through life. The confrontational male intrudes on our lives demanding all women conform to his ideal. I was painting my nails in a train once, and an old guy leaned forward to say: "That isn't really very attractive, you know!". I said "I wasn't trying to attract YOU!"
Women are rarely outspoken Amazons in mixed company, because it embarrasses men. In business life they gang up in icy disapproval and get you fired. As you may have noticed.
We can't be bothered with that, so we look submissive.
