Hey I just bought a laptop called vostro 1500 it has santa rosa platform in it.

While customizing I noticed that the highest I could choose was the t7700 which was like 2.4ghz I want the extreme core 2 duo for the laptop that just came out called the x7900 can my laptop handle it and is it compatible?

and I wanted to add 8700m graphic card but the highest they would let me pick is 8600m gt. Can it handle it.

Is dell giving me these limits just so I can buy a more expensive model of vostro or because vostro 1500 can't handle it?

btw the extreme is out now it's 2.8ghz and unlocked which means you can overclock it to higher speeds.

In most laptops, only memory (RAM) and hard drives are upgradeable, so the simple answer is No.

Wow, i might purely get myself a sparkling computing gadget and return the Toshiba in case you nonetheless can, or otherwise sell it. whilst i purchase a working laptop or computing gadget, i might look on the fee, the RAM, and the variety. Toshiba basically lasts as much as a million-2 years from what my chum has lengthy previous by way of with determining to purchase 2 of them in purely 3 years time. I purely offered myself a Sony, which grew to become into rather well worth the money. 2.2 GHz or bigger with Intel center, and four gig of RAM is your ultimate purchase!! I had AMD, 2.2 GHz, living house windows Vista, and 3 gig of RAM (great computing gadget until eventually it broke down!) on my HP computing gadget that lasted 4 years. Upgrading your RAM won't do lots, it fairly is going to basically upload extra storage, no longer speed with the intention to maintain it working.
