im still getting a turtle.....but thanks for the people thaat answered and im not giving the 10 points to anyone that answered my last qustion cause they all stank! so my qustion is how can i have fun with my new oet turtle? the thing that i hate the most is that its gonna sleep for the whole winter anyways im in egypt and im proud of it.....i want a resonable answer plz!

I have 3 red eared slider turtles. They are basically water turtles. I have an aquarium set up for them and a spot where they can get out of the water and bask in the glow of a lamp. I think they are pretty cool. They are by no means boring either. Its fun to watch them eat. I get them out from time to time and let them have races. If you hold them enough, they get to a point where they won't poke there head back into their shell.
All in all, I think a turtle is a great pet. I have had regular box turtles, but I enjoy my water turtles far more. They seem to me to have more personality. Just my experience. If you want to know more about them please feel free to e-mail me.

Here are some fun turtle ideas:
-Turtle could help you decide what topic your questions should be placed in. He couldn't do any worse than you.
-You could paint racing stripes on him.
-You could make him little outfits and invite all of your friends over for turtle fashion shows
-You could have him memorize dialog and perform little skits for the amusement of the masses.
-You could get a life.

wow a turtle..well you could take it on a walk to the zoo and show it how if it doenst show you a good time that you will have it locked up..I dont have any other suggestion turtles are in their own world I dont think they like to be played with,...another thing you may want to put your question in the pet section

Make your turtle a myspace! Take it to all sorts of interesting places and make sure to take lots of pictures. Write blogs about the experiece from the turtles point of view.

You could paint it's shell with pretty colors and tell everyone it's a paperweight.
You could offer it for elective circumsisions.
Jake's Idea isn't bad, but it's been done before with a ceramic Gnome. (Roaming Gnome ... Travelocity Commercials and the French Movie "Amalie")
