Oh dear, I can sympathise with you. I had a hip AND a knee replaced on 13th August and I keep struggling on. You should pay a visit to your local Holland and Barratt or check them out on-line. You need to start taking glucosamine with chondroitin supplements and that helps mend the torn ligaments and tendons. It will also help to prevent you getting arthritis when you get older. Marvellous stuff it is. I'm taking it on the advice of my surgeon as I still need a new hip and knee on the other side and he isn't doing them until November. I can actually say that my knee does feel better since I started taking them, nowhere near as painful! Invest in some I am sure they will help you. xxx

Never had a broken bone but sprains were just as bad! I know it's incredibly frustrating not to be able to get on with what you want to do, but it gives you the chance to have a go at stuff you wouldn't normally have done. Instead of spending hours in the gym, go exploring in your local park or even just sit on a bench and read or watch the world go by. This is also the perfect opportunity to get others to cook for you, or try that new restaurant you've been hearing about.
Why not answer questions on Yahoo Answers? Typing isn't that difficult and you can do it lefthanded while resting your plastered arm on something, which should alleviate your discomfort a bit. Challenge your mind by playing games like Minesweeper using the mouse lefthanded - it does take a bit of thought, and you'll gain a skill in the process!
Definitely work on strengthening your left hand - you'll need it if you were very right handed before the break, as you'll probably have to do physio on your right hand for a while before it gets back to normal. Whatever you do, don't try and take off the cast yourself as the other guy who's just asked a question did!

Yeah I broke my left wrist when I was about 12!
All you can do is sit back and relax really. I remember that summer being one of the worst lol. It wasn't that discomforting, I thought the cast was cool and the stuff inside it HAHA.
It cant be THAT bad.

Poor you. I recently had my leg in plaster for six weeks. It was murder. (I had an operation to repair a ligament.)
I have new respect for the disabled.
(Have you ever tried to carry a cup of tea when you're on crutches?)
So best wishes - it will soon be over. Grin and bear it.
