Dress like you are going to church. You do not have to bring a gift or give money.

You were invited because so few make it to Eagle. It takes a very long time and hard work.
Give him a handshake and congratulate him on his effort. Take a picture of his mom/dad and troop master for them and that should be enough.

Dress Like Church. The ceremony usually happens in a church. You can Bring gifts or money if you want. It is hard to make Eagle Scout so congratulate him and shake his hand. Dont be suprised if anyone, including his parents, start to cry. It is a important part of his life. It might take a little while but sit tight. Less than 1 in 100 make Eagle Scout.

My sister and I were Girl Scouts way, way back in So. California. My oldest son was a Boy Scout in Orange, California and now, here in Auburn, Washington my youngest grandson, who celebrates his 13th birthday today, is a Boy Scout. I will never forget my one summer at Girl Scout camp in So. California or as a parent at a Boy Scout Jamboree in Orange County, California. I helped out in the gold panning booth and had a lot of fun even though I somehow got a lot of mud splashed on my clothes from that particular event.

Usually if you know them well, you would give him a card with like $15, or a gift with an eagle on it, something like that. I have seen people give nothing, and I have seen people give a statue of an eagle (looked like a trophy) anyway, it depends how well you know him.

You have to dressed nicely and congratulate him. As long as you are doing by heart. He will understand. Money and gifts are not important
