Do not be disappointed. Not to worry about the present state of affairs, beacuse :

Life is a long journey. Slowly one walks towards God. Slowly the secrets of God and his creation, the Universe and "I" are revealed. It does not happen over night.

While walking one may fall down. He again stands up and walks. What is important is to keep walking - always towards God. This way one goes nearer and nearer to God.

Who knows in which instant the God will reveal himself to you ? Who knows in which instant God will reveal the secrets of Universe and "I" ? Noone knows. The idea is to keep walking towards him in this journey of life. Not to worry if you fall down momentarily. If that happens then to stand up and walk again from where you left off. God will himself then at some instant will reveal his secrets to you. Then the purpose of walking towards God in this journey of life will be realized.

So idea is to stand up again with enthusiasm and energy and walk towards "Him". Idea is to keep walking towards "Him" without paying attention to any mathematics about the speed of walking and length of the path. Since for those who are walking towards "him" God himself at some point in time will reveal himself and the puzzles of creation, universe and "I" to such mortals. No one knows when "God" will reveal this to one person and when to another.

So keep walking.

I don't understand why you couldn't know the truth. Perfect in the sense of "god's perfect child" just means "as you are," or as god made you. Since god made you exactly as you are and in every instant that passes, god's will is done, you are perfect by definition and you remain so no matter what; that's the logic of that. You don't make yourself, so technically no person can judge you against a standard of "perfection." God is not a person who takes up a spot. All spots are supposed to be god's, including all of the one you're in. I take it you feel alienated, but it seems to be because you are thinking of god as some kind of father figure out there who passes out privileges and access. It's not so -- the idea is that you yourself are already the manifestation of god's will at all times, so go with it. God is yours as much as you are its (if you like to think of things this way).

Hi Third P.

It is true — you are not God's PERFECT child, but you ARE His child, flaws and all. He does love you, and that should make you rejoice with happiness. He does not love you any more or any less than anyone else.

It is a good question when you ask, "where was I?" God is always with us; however, we are too often not paying attention. God never turns away from us; it is always we who turn away from Him.

However, He will always take us back!

We need to spend more time with Him. If we feel that we are prone to not paying enough attention, then it can be helpful to set up a schedule for daily prayers and Bible readings. Our "special" time with God.

We also continue to learn more & more about God & ourselves as we go through life. There is always more room for learning & understanding.

The happiest thing that God ever did was was when He sent His only son down to earth, in human form. Jesus was the only "perfect child," as well as perfect adult. He was totally without sin.

He was here to teach us how to live and, more importantly, to save us by dying on the cross in our place.

You may not be a perfect human being; but God does love you perfectly.

Peace.

You are God's perfect child. You have been told the truth. But you have never understood the reasoning behind it.

God's perfect child will never be seen as perfect in the eyes of the world, the challenge is to not let this sway you. Gods perfect child will always have more adversaries then followers. More traitors then loyal ones. But will be more happy then anyone else around him.

Well done for questioning your understandings.

God doesn't expect us to be perfect. He loves us to think and observe and grow so that we can find the truth. Why are you in such a hurry? I'm sure God loves you a lot because you are on the right path: thinking and questioning, thinking and questioning .
Just don't push yourself too hard. Growth is gradual.
Have a nice day.

You are not God's perfect child YET. Your job is the journey to become one. There is nothing sad in this truth. The journey is given to us as a gift. Say, thank you.

I only sort of understand the question, and hasten to say nobody is perfect, and I bet you knew that. I see no reason why you can't know the truth, do you? Truth may hide itself here and there, but it will out.

As for spots where God is and where you were... you lost me on that one, dude. Sorry!

My friend, you're not perfect, you never were and you'll never be perfect. God made you with flaws because he wants you to improve yourself, not just sit around and praise your own amazing character.

Think of it this way, if all people were perfect, we will have a flawless, peaceful, loving and BORING society. Wars, problems and other stuff we go through improve us and give purpose to our lives.

So, don't waste your time and be like others trying to be perfect or losing their sanity pitying their own troubled worthless lives. Be happy with what you are and live life to the fullest.

When you finally die, you'll be able to go without any regrets and you'll be able to stand in front of God and say "I wasn't perfect but I sure made my life fun!"

You become god/reality's perfect child when you discover the truth - about your authentic Self - and stop identifying with your programmed defensive ego.

God/Reality is the field you are embedded in that is responsive to human consciousness. Once you grasp that, it is your CHOICE where to be.

You are a perfect human, which is to be imperfect. If you were to be perfect, you would not be human.

And, there is no spot where God is not, but in one spot there is you AND God.

you are perfect. you just must find your perfection. this means know all you positives and negatives. perfection does not mean all positives, but a perfect balance of both. if you see your positives and negatives, truly observe them every moment, and accept them as this is yourself, then you see you are perfect and you know the truth.
when God was everywhere, there you were aswell.
