Be honest, and reiterate that you aren't trying to hurt their feelings, but you need to let them know that they were wrong. A friend that becomes hurt by honesty is a friendship that needs evaluated. You should be able to have a friend that can take the honesty whether it is a good or bad things. Friends are the people that are suppose to be there thick and thin, no matter what. Whether they agree or disagree, whether it is right or wrong. It shouldn't make a difference if they are wrong, and they shouldn't be so sensitive to "hurt feelings" from a friend pointing out that they are not correct.

Don't worry so much, just be honest, and it will work out. Let them know that it doesn't change your friendship, but that you felt that they needed to know they were wrong.

By saying it in a kind, caring way rather than in a critical way.

You might start with "I know you meant well but....." or "I've been thinking about what you said (or did) and I had a different thought I wanted to run by you."

Do it in a way that shows this person you care about their feelings even though you're pointing out a mistake.

You just gotta sit them down and let them know what's going on. Tell them your not trying to hurt them your just letting them know how you honestly feel about the situation. Dont' try and force them, talk nice and calm. hope everything goes well
