And why was this info made public???

The last time it was an unannounced stand down, September 11th, 2001.

Do you think September 14th, 2007 will be an especially memorable day for all the wrong reasons?

Read the article...It is not the "entire AF" - it is one element, the Air Combat Command...It is a safety standdown to look at the overall program and specifically at the circumstances leading up to the B-52 carrying nukes across the US - a no-no...Standdowns do not normally go command wide, but this was a major faux pas

Saying the entire Air Force is standing down is a little bit of an overstatement, but I'd sure hate to be the guy that was in charge of Minot's PRP.

You really think people are gonna buy your misinformation ?

I don't.

And to answer your question, it is a safety stand down.

And it is not the entire Air Force standing down, just the Air Combat Command.

EDIT:

Yes misinformation.

The Air Force is not standing down on sept 15th.

Just the Air combat Command stood down, that was part of my answer.

And what Air Force standdown on 9/11 ?

Sorry, not every one. Wish it had been.... seemed like everything broke on Friday and hubby ended up working till late to support his guys.

As for Sept. 11, 2001... there was no stand down... the entire military was put on high alert, leaves were cancelled, and those who were at work stayed at work, unless they were sent home to pack gear.

Please make sure you have your facts straight next time.
