I supose you would have to go into the police force and work your way up to decetive or study law or criminology at univeristy then go fast trak into the police force to get their quicker.
I thought that you can be a physic that is hired by the police in which case you are not a detective but you are helping them.
I think you would like the t.v series medium.

first you have to be physic
