Do people not realise children are a blessing and a commitment and you have to make sacrifices for them? If you have no intention of giving up your social life then you should not have children (you cant have the best of both worlds by drugging them)

I totally agree. By the way Sal*UK & Faith the McCanns family members themselves are the ones that brought forward and admitted they drug their childen to sedate them, with a highly powerful pharmaceutical that would never be prescribed to children in the doses they were giving them. These people are doctors, what the hell were they thinking? They claimed this is normal Practice in the UK, BS! In the US we take kids away from parents for things like this. By the way the Hotel they were staying at offered FREE BABYSITTING SERVICES to all guests, that's a fact, but the McCanns decided to not take advantage of that service. Also another curiosity is the fact the McCanns didn't call the authorities until after almost an hour after they returned to their room, another fact they stipulated.

what's confusing you is that Edgar and Cowley are suggesting that the youngsters have been drugged by way of somebody else and not the mothers and fathers. it is totally elementary particularly; they're suggesting that the McCanns did no longer drug their babies, yet that an abductor might have finished so. As on your daft edit; there is not any information that Madeleine replaced into killed, so what's your factor approximately 'crime scenes'? The crime scene pronounced is that of a available abduction, no longer homicide, so clearly any chloroform might have dissipated.

I totally agree,I have have two boy. When you decide to have children you make the choice that your social life is over for a least the next couple of years until you feel there are old enough for a babysitter. I have a seven year old and a four month, I have been to one family party in the last four months and I took my children with me and never left them on there own! And was back home by 11. This is what to agree to when you become a parent. My two boys are my life.

It beggars beyond belief doesn't it?
They should have left them at home with family if they wanted some me time!
No one would have blamed them!
They could then take the kids away for a few days to a place that would be appropriate for them!
Why bother taking them and putting them in a creche all day long and putting them to bed that early!
They were and are very, very selfish people!

I can't believe she gave her child Phenergan.
Gross.
That is one of the most abused non narcotic drugs I've seen. I have had people that have on exact schedule ask for this drug they "seek" it. It is not over the counter nor is it a joke.
It is strong, and addictive.
To a child? She oughta be in jail for that alone.
You have kids, you get a qualified sitter or keep you butt home! And you don't pump them up with meds either.

Not everyone can live in quite such a perfect world as you - and invariably do abosultely the right thing all the time without fail ever.

You must be wonderful.

MOST parents at one time or another have given their child an extra spoon of cough medicine to help them get their heads down when coughing at night - most would consider if perfectly sensible to do so - yet this is still "drugging" them.

So is giving the child almost ANY medication.

I agree that at best, they acted stupidly - and at worse, criminally. However expecting parents in general to be perfect (humans generally are not) and never having a social life again for the next 16 years is a shade naive. Families tend to "muck in" and "make do" - in fact arguably the closest families are the ones that DO make sure EVERYONE has a bit of time for themsevles - a social life if you will.

its so sad, a 3 year old is so innocent,,, i have a 3 year old son, and beleive me he is the most hypo thing you would see,, i wouldnt leave my 3yr old alone for a minute,,, let alone to go out and have dinner!
seriously, im a mum of 4, there is no way a normal parent would leave their children alone so they could relax and enjoy a meal,,especially in a foreign country, no freakin way
i drag my kids in the petrol station so i can pay for my petrol,, but then again, im wayyyyy too overprotective, lol

"Intense attention has focused on what police found in the hire car rented by Madeleine's parents 25 days after she went missing. Senior sources linked to the investigation told Portuguese journalists that they discovered "bodily fluids" - not blood - with an 88% match to Madeleine's genetic profile in the boot.

Toxicological tests on the liquid show that Madeleine had consumed a "significant" quantity of sleeping tablets and may have overdosed, the French newspaper France Soir reported, citing unnamed sources in Portugal"

Guilty or innocent, you are absolutely right.I read yesterday that another member of the McCanns 'dinner party' friends was 'sorry she was late to dinner as her child had been sick'.Now, A/.were there a load of children left unattended that night? Parents running from one appartment to another to check on each others children? and B/. What would posess a parent to putting a meal- out with friends above their sick child???AWESOMELY selfish whatever the ending.
