Clean grease and wax off with solvent then lightly sand the surface until dull that gives the paint something to grab onto. Sign painters use enamal paints. And I have noticed they have lots of solid colors. Coverage in one coat is important and ther really good ones can letter and number a race car in one day mostly using brushes.

Almost no one paints logos on any more Its done with vinyl from a sign shop or graphic shop It last longer and is a lot less work an cost to remove if you sell the auto

Well im not sure there is a diference in paint (i mean i dont it matters)... however you might find that having a Magnetic OR Sticker type of Company Logo made a lot less expensive and will ge the info out just as great...

just my opinion...

Vinyl letters is best.
