Than why do they support Bush and Iraq since the Iraqi government is existing off or our dime and free-security forces? I see pics of the 'Iraqi government' and it sure looks like they're sitting on their asses and not defending their country, so why help them? Don't conservatives like paraphrasing God and say "help those who help themselves?" That should apply to the Iraqi people too...

Conservatives are against handouts, except when it's convenient for themselves or their friends. This is why conservatives willingly still appropriate pork-barrel spending for their home states, and enthusiastically support government subsidies for industry and big agriculture.

Common logic tells me if you put the leaders of 4 huge gangs in the same room and tell them to work things out while a non-gang force outside keeps the peace between each other and assists all the innocent people being beaten, killed, raped and left with no means to survive...

And the 4 gangs actually realizing that they themselves need to work things out in order for all their people to survive...

Removing the non-gang force outside will only cause more problems...

Especially when a couple neighboring countries are laying in-wait and drooling at the chance for the non-gang force to leave so they can step in and lay claim on everyone while they have no means to defend themselves.

BACK TO SQUARE ONE.

And already getting THIS FAR in the game... And leaving would only delay returning and spending MORE MONEY to start all over again FROM SQUARE ONE.

Who in their right mind ever started a massive rebuilding project (doing an addition to your home - building a new home) getting all the ground prepped, digging a hole, starting in on creating the foundation, putting up a few walls...

Then leaving before finishing.

Hello! Earth to all morons! lol

If you kick out and remove all the workers busting their tail trying to complete something in 2007-2008 and end up going back in 2010...

How much money are you saving?

You want financial responsibility which is understandable, but people have already died at a cost that has no price.

You can't put a cost on a human life... And leaving now will only increase the number of people going to immediately be killed once we leave...

And starting over at square one will only drag out the inevitable.
More money and more deaths.

Hah! Most of these staunch archconservatives simply do not practice what they preach. The party of "personal responsibilty, limited gov't, and moral values" seem to be the party of "corporate welfare, gov't run amok, and immorality" far more than the party they continually bash for those same reasons.

These same far-rightists love gov't handouts and freebies when it comes to killing and destruction (defense) but loathe it when such assistance is used to actually help others (social programs).

It is only poor people they hate, massive fraud is what the Gang Of Pirates are all about. They set about to create a Government by Libertarian kleptocracy and produced the natural result.

The Iraqis have tried to reclaim their country and been shut down at every point. At the beginning even when the Iraqis set about with local elections and starting to regroup a civil society the American Conquerors shut down such efforts.

They actually came up with a plan to rebuild that amounted to giving all the national assets to cronies, a flat tax, with no mechanism to collect it, firing all Iraqi bureaucrats, and no actual rebuilding.

One,That isn't paraphrasing god"God helps those who help themselves"is nowhere in the Bible.STRIKE ONE

We use another phrase"If you break it,you buy it"We went in and broke it,granted,at least we are honorable enough to attempt to repair it.Do you just leave the scene if you hit someone's car in a parking lot?Probably/I don't.I have better ethics. But,why should you stay at the parking lot,it's the car owners fault, not yours for hitting it.How morally bankrupt

How completely shortsighted of you. The oil that's being pumped out of the ground in Iraq is providing a heap of funding for the Citizens of Iraq so we're not paying for everything. Besides, we caused a lot of damage and we should be fixing it, or did you sleep through the part of your world history classes where they taught about the USA rebuilding Germany and Japan after WWII?

Bush is not a conservative. He acts just like a liberal. So I don't know why the libs don't love him. He's one of them.
