Does this sound feasible?

I have been reading a lot of questions on here this morning and also external links. And suddenly dawned on me what a high profile case this is, quite possibly the highest profile there has been in a very long while.

Do you remember the OJ Simpson case in the states, where the courts had problems finding members to sit on the Jury due to the fact that everyone knew of him and couldnt be guaranteed as unbiased?

Well, just what are the chances that the whole reason that Gerry and Kate have made this case such high profile, is not to raise awareness of the missing 4 year old (who btw, I feel dreadfully sorry for), but instead to cloud the judgement of everyone, and make it virtually impossible to find a jury of people to sit at the hearing.

Ok, what i have said could be a load of old tosh, but its possible isnt it?

It is possible yes - yet another possibility!

The evidence (if it was in the McCann car) - why are they not doing further tests on that car?! - it looks very compelling.

On the other hand if body was dumped at sea - how would McCanns have sorted that? On some guys boat? via Murat?

No, no, no, I dont think we will no one way or another until evidence is formally put out - all these leaks conflicting are too confused to know what is definately the case.

If this is real evidence being leaked its quite wrong of the police to do so.

I do think she is dead and she is either buried somewhere or been dumped at sea - but the amount of people that would have had to have involved means sooner or later the truth will have to come out.

I will tell you what something else is also possible--- Gerry is freemanson and therefore he will not, nor his wife, every be found guilty.
Seriously, Sir Richard Branson, the owner of Virgin Atlantic has entered the stage. He has offered £100,000 ( US$170,000 ) to help the McCanns have a fair trial/hearing. I found that rather strange.
Another thing that I find curious: only 3 or 4 days before the PJ-GNR Police interviewed the McCanns on suspicion that they were gulty of the disappearance of Maddie the McCanns especially Kate said "We shall not be bullied out of Portugal by the Portugtuese Police" AND "We shall remain in POrtugal until our baby is found". The moment they were declared suspects 'arguidos' they took off to England.

Good point there, when was the last time we've seen "Find Madeleine"?
All of a sudden it's about this to people who shouldn't be parents in the first place if there's a God he was right they couldn't have children to Neglect them after and put the booze as a priority which is a crime and they still not punished!

I think the whole case is really sad. I felt so sorry for the McCann's as they left Portugal as suspects for the death of their daughter. People have been so judgmental - one of my friends criticised Mrs McCann for being "stoney-faced".

It is very likely that recent police accusations are in some way linked with the McCann's decision to sue a popular Portugese newspaper for printing false information about them. People have been very judgmental about the McCann's decision to leave their children alone, but we have to accept they'd taken great pains to choose a safe & family-friendly resort for their holiday and were clearly deluded by what we now know, was a false sense of security.

I remember going to Butlins Holiday Camp as a child, throughout the evening, there'd be announcements over the intercom that a baby was heard crying at chalet no 8 etc. People left young chilren asleep while they went out, knowing that red-coats were constantly on patrol to listen out for crying children. The McCann's and their friends were clearly performing that same task.

Given all of the above, I think the idea that the McCann's "high profile" approach is one aimed at "clouding judgment" is very unlikely, after all, anyone with a missing child is bound to want widespread publicity; on balance, it is a 100 times more likely that they simply want their daughter back. It's about time people stopped this lynch-mob mentality where slithers of suspect news information is blown up out of all proportion and used to target the victims of such a tragedy.

A little girl is mising. Her parents and family are distraught to an unimaginable degree, they need support and empathy.

Possible ,but have you noticed there is a little truth in every answer Jerry gives almost as if that means he is not lying. ie. We have nothing to do with our daughters disappearance, may mean we left to get an alibi an unknown accomplice then took over. Hence the remark |They have taken her| Another thought could the child got out of bed and eaten her mothers sleeping pills.?

An interesting point. Everyone seems to have an opinion, either for or against them. I doubt this was the initial plan, (if indeed they are guilty and there was an initial plan) I think the campaign got out of hand. But, as you said, this may work in their favour if charged.
Have to say in the beginning I went for their story but evidence seems turn up every day that says they were probably not being truthful. Now we find out that bodily fluid from Maddy found in the car contained evidence of sleeping pills being used on her

I think for them to have a fair trial the jury would have to be well
vetted before they even got a chance to go into a courtroom.
I do agree though that all the times they are in the papers they are making it worse for themselves. Because people
believe what they want to believe.

well its possible , but then the implications would be huge im sure they are guilty of neglact in the first instance , but murder i dont know , it would mean awful awful things if what your suggesting is the case, you see as a mother myself whilst we would all love the idea of a few hours peace to go to those kind of extremes i find hard ot beleive im watching with baited breath poor little madeline,i do find it hard to beleive that any parent coudl go to such lengths, but then again people never cease to amaze me ,i dont know what to think any more , apart form in the begining i was sad they could have even left her bu this is something else, !!!!
If they did it its beyond words what a nightmare, however if they didnt and they are being framed or whatever , what could be worse than losing your daughter and then being fitted up for her death .....either way madeline loses.
It woul d have to be an absolute extreme for them to have actually given so much thought to a situation....

They don't have a jury in Portugal, the case is heard before three judges instead.
