got a fren that seem to be let down by loved ones despite sacrifices made and promises kept...the fren kind of jaded now....is it wrong to demand sacrifices in true love???

Is it wrong to demand sacrifices in true love? YES.
True love should be a WILLINGESS to put aside your own wants for the benefit of the one you love, BUT it should be a two way street.
To make demands of one you love, (except those one has a reason to expect - faithfulness, being the other's priority, good communication, honesty) is to want them to "change", in order to be with you and that is wrong. The except where they are negatively impacting on the relationship - drugs, alcoholism, abuse, violence, etc.

True love makes sacrifices yes... but never demands them.
For those in love, nothing feels like a sacrifice, but rather a gift.
your friend may have been in love with someone who didn't love him, or he may be a co-dependent who invests too much too soon without a reciprocal overture.
Alas, such is the nature of love.

to sarifice for a loved one is one thing, but to DEMAND sacrifices is wrong! if you love, you automatically sacrifice!
