When you ask a question .... usually a very banal, simple one .... say ... do you shave?

And you get people asking why you've asked the question and why you want to know?

It's a question and this is a Q&A site. Moreover, this is the poll and survey catagory.

Have you noticed that too?

cant say thats happened to me sorry but i do get a lot of nasty answers...people dont realise every1 is entitled to their own opinion!
yes I agree with you though the whole purpose of this site is to ask a question that youd like the answer to...why do they bother?! if they dont want to answer they should just move on to next question instead of leaving a silly pointless answer!
P.S yeah I do shave where needed!!
xx

have a star!

Totally agree. Especially when they start bemoaning a question and give everyone answering the question the thumbs down, or say this question has been asked before. Then when you check their profile you find their questions and answers are secret and not shown. As my dad said 'if you haven't got something good to say do not bother saying it.'

I think half of the problem is that you're question will be seen by lots of people of the front page - and they don't realise that you're asking in the Poll section.

The other half of the problem is that you are asking a 'banal' question. Some people don't want to waste their time looking at these silly questions....

I do not ask many questions, but answer many, I notice there is a lot of repetitiveness and a lot of young users that are a little catty

Yes because many people ask stupid obvious questions with no actual thought about the topic.

Yer I know I hate it too, it's so stupid, it's like if your not gonna answer the question but ask why we've asked it then don't bother writing anything at all.

Yeah, I've seen that a few times, it's a little annoying, but if they also answer the question then I don't mind so much.
