Raccoons! If it's at night it is most likely raccoons. Better stop it quick (like now) or you'll have rabbits with no toes or worse.

Raccoons live in the city as well as the county and are notorious for pulling their victims through the bars of their enclosures and eating what they can while the victim is still alive.

Other predators are dogs and sometimes cats but cats won't leave tell tale evidence of any kind of attack.

Best to put a strong lock on your rabbit pens (racoons can figure out simple latches) and protect them from an attack from the bottom. Give them at least a nest box to hop into for some protection.

If you want to be certain of what is attacking look for foot prints or put out an inexpensive motion detector (Home Depot) that will turn on a flood light at any movement. Stay near the window one night to see what trips the light.

Shoot them if you are allowed to. Raccoons never forget where an easy food source is and will certainly be back.

Protect your rabbit! Raccoons work fast.

If it's tearing the cage open,it's probably a dog, a fox or a coyote. It could be a bobcat, though,if they are native to your area.I don't think a domestic cat would be strong enough to tear open a cage.
