Any strategies for getting promo stuff from stores? All answers accepted!?

I'm looking to get promo stuff from stores, mostly gaming stores, stuff like posters and cardboard cutouts. Any ideas?

Go in and ask the store manager. Most of the time, when the promo's over, they give it away to anyone who speaks for it. (Usually it's store employees - since they often speak first.)
