If you use a power converter, you can use anything that would fit a plug in a home. Power converters range from 300 watts and up... you can get them with a single outlet, or more. Check with Walmart and Radio Shack, they will have them.
Many auto parts stores, (or departements in discount stores) will have the small tv's with the dc plug. If you're not going to be using an antenna, or dish, you might just consider going with a portable dvd player. Any electronics store would carry these.
RV dealers would be a good place to check. At least an RV parts store might help.
Some of the larger truck stops around the country often have these types of items, but they tend to be a bit pricy, in my opinion.
Lets see.. other places to check... Sam's Club, Circuit City, Best Buy, etc.
I used to travel a lot myself, doing warranty service work, and I went ahead and purchased a power converter for my truck... I was able to charge cordless tool batteries while driving, as well as being able to run items like you mention.
Good Luck

My favorite truck stop is Wal-Mart. They have about everything for the professional trucker that costs a lot less than the truck stops on the highway.

Have you tried J.C. Whitney? Didn't look, but they used to have just about anything for a vehicle.
Also if you get a poer inverter you can use any regular appliance.

my husband bought a tv for his at walmart. You have to make sure the plug can be converted to fit into a cigarette lighter. Thats the only thing different than a regular one.
