Does anyone know why there were 5 what appeared to be US Black Hawk helicopters flying in circles above the river Thames in Central London yesterday (13th sept) lunchtime?

**Wondering star** I want to know because there were 5 of them, they looked like they belonged to the US and they were going round in circles over central London. My curiousity was stirred. Is this ok you ****?

They weren't Apaches, they were huge. I took pictures of them on my phone, I'd post it but I don't know how...

They approached from Battersea, followed the course of the river to I'd say Canary Wharf then flew over Sarf Landan and repeated

Have realised that they must have something to do with Excel, the international arms fair over in Greenwich. They must have been doing a 'fly by' for the benefit of the assembled Generals, warlords and dictators to help them decide whether to buy them or not...

were they CH-53G Mittlerer Transporthubschrauber's

dont understand why you need to know, they were just helecopters. did you think russia had invaded or something.

Same thing happened in Glasgow 4 days ago. But it was only one helicopter and I know for a fact it was search and rescue.

Its probably the same thing, either that or some neo-Nazi cell has got a hold on some hardware from America...

Oh, where they? I missed them, that's not fair. Which bit of the river?

Thank you for posting that update, I would have liked to have seen them, seen a sea king (helicopter, not Pokemon) but never a sea stallion.

They where most likey Uk apache helicopters and they where probably on a training exercise .
