YES. they should have some rest. twenty20 cricket takes lot of energy and chances of injury is more, we cant injure sachin's back with 2020.

So some players may be rested. it also gives youngsters some opportunity to show their talent.

Even with all the seniors in the team, India was knocked out from the Cricket World cup. Twenty/20 is ideally susited for youngsters and as such it is a wise decision to rest the seniors for the tough series ahead against Australia and Pakistan to give them enough rest and try out the talent of the youngsters in the twenty/20 tournament with a view to induct young plahyers in the National Team when senior players retires.

Yes it is right Kulwinder because keeping seniors in twenty-20 is useless because some seniors can not run properly and hit shots quickly.Although seniors have lot of experience than young players but they(seniors) can not field well. They(seniors) also should give the chance to the domestic and young players as they will come to what is international cricket all about.

No senior is out from other conutries team, see, Australia, Pakistan, England, West Indies, New Zealand, Bangladesh, SriLanka etc. all seniors are playing barring one or two.

By Indian seniors you mean to say, Rahul, Sachin, Ganguly. Since they are out of form and it was not expected that they are suitable for 20-20 form of cricket they are not included in 20-20. It is a sort of punishment to these seniors to think about their performance, and their time to quit is near.

Yes.

First of all the 35+ men i.e Sachin, Ganguly, Dravid and Laxman should retire or be sacked as this old age in not for playing international cricket. They are playing on just to make money!

And Tests and 50 over matches are soon going to be history so Yuvraj Singh and Mahendra Singh Dhoni be made captain and vice-captain for India respectively! Only they are suitable in the modern 20-20s!

A BIG NO. Players should be selected to play for a team o the basis of their recent form and fitness. The funda of elimination on basis of only age does not cut much ice with me.Look at Jayasuriya and his contribution of 88 in the record-breaking display by the Lankans today!

Yes,20-20 needs faster and more athletic people .
And younger players are more likely to have that ability .
But it is also possible that aSenior player just might be fitter than juniors.
