i have seen turtles live with fishes and i seen turtles eat fishes.. personally i have four turtles and one of them never ate any live fish but the others one had fun eating the live fish i would recommend getting a hatch-ling turtle and only a few simple fishes that are at least three times as big as the turtle.. make sure you do your home work before you buy the fish and the turtles...

I have 4 turtles and fish....I find if the fish is bigger then the turtles mouth they are fine....I keep waiting for the fish to disappear but they don't.

In my turtle tank I have 3 mollies, 2 algae eaters and a flying fox and the turtles have never touched them....If I put in a guppy it is gone in no time!

My turtles and fish actually swim up to one another now..

I think it really depends on the turtles personality..if t is aggressive or not!

I have had friends come over and say...man the fish are still in there.

I also have tanks of guppies and mollies.

I started off with fish and went to turtles...my mollies kept breeding and I was over-populated with them...giving them away etc.

I thought OK try a molly in the turtle tank..they chased the fish and investigated it...turned face and swam away...

Mollies can be fast as well...and as long as you have hiding spots for the fish they should be fine..but don't get to attached to the fish...just in case it disappears one day.
Hope this helps

My turtle is a "vegetarian" , so it doesn't eat fish.My turtle can live with fish but I don't think that is a good idea.
